Pixar's Newt

Most of you may have already heard about Pixar's new full-length feature film called Newt, that is now-cancelled. For those who haven't heard, back in 2008, Pixar had originally scheduled Newt to be released in 2012. It was going to be directed by Gary Rydstrom, director and sound designer/editor of many Pixar shorts and films, who has been nominated for many Oscar awards. The story was about two of the last blue-footed newts in extinction, who can't stand eachother and are expected to mate to save their species. Recently, around May of this year, Newt was supposedly cancelled.

On September 3rd, Pixar released an album of Newt concept art on their official facebook; along with title "As most of you already know, "Newt" is no longer in development at Pixar. However, that doesn't mean we can't share some of the Pixar artists' amazing artwork with our Facebook fans!" We are so confused with what direction Pixar is pointing this film in. The concept are looks absolutely stunning, some of the most beautiful concept art from Pixar yet! It demonstrates how unique and visually pleasing the film may be! I'm sure if they follow through with the film, it will be just as great as every one of their masterpieces.
