Beauty & the Beast Character Replicas

Recently produced by the Disney Store in honour of the Diamond Edition release of Beauty and the Beast are some amazing limited edition character replicas. We strongly recommend all three of these enchanted pieces to any serious Disney collector.

Lumiere the charming candelabra is limited to only 2000 pieces. His flame ontop of his head is a fully functioning LED light and his hands are meant for holding tea light candles. The bottom also reads that he is Limited Edition. He is also perfectly displayed in a beautiful silk-lined display box.  He comes complete with certificate of authenticity and has all the suave character of Lumiere himself, a must have for any Beauty and the Beast fan!

Cogsworth the Clock is limited to only 1500 pieces. The loyal butler is complete with a working pendulum clock and a faux wind-up key. He comes in a silk-lined box with a certificate of authenticity. There is some very nice weight to the piece and is made with superb attention to detail. I would strongly recommend to anyone they pick up this collector clock from Disney while they can.

The Mrs.Potts Tea Set is limited to only 1600 pieces. She comes with her son Chip as well as 3 other cups to complete the set. Each piece is trimmed with real 24 kt gold! The set comes in a silk lined box with a certificate of authenticity. This is our favorite of the three Limited Edition boxes, both Mrs. Potts and Chip are such great movie replicas.

Robert Silvers Photomosaic

Years ago, when common Disney Stores carried framed art, we obtained this extravagant piece of art created by Robert Silvers. It is called a photomosaic, which is a computer generated print consisting of thousands of tiny images put together to illuminate one large image from a further perspective. Robert Silvers is an artist who created the term 'photomosaic' and patented the creation.

This specific photomosaic is of Jack Skellington from the Nightmare Before Christmas. Looking closely, you can see the different stills from the movie and how they blend together to create a larger image. It is matted and framed, with " Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas Photomosaics by Robert Silvers " at the bottom. It was made for the production of the film, in 1993, and when it was purchased we were told that it is limited edition. The dimensions are 30" L x 20" W and it hangs on the wall with a wire backing. I am positive that it could only be found on the secondary market, although we have not seen another one to date. This piece is very rare and interesting! If you have any further information about Robert Silvers Disney Photomosaics please share, we'd love to hear.

SDCC Nightmare Before Christmas Bronze Paperweights

For the past two years, made exclusively for the Sandiego Comic Con, Monogram International has released a very limited number of genuine bronze collectible paperweights. Each figure is hand-made using a method called lost-wax casting.

The first coffin set to be featured was at the 2008 Comic Con and was limited to 150 numbered pieces. These pieces were individually numbered on the certificate of authenticity as well as each paper-weight. We were extremely lucky to receive an artist proof edition of the set. Sally and Jack can both rotate independently to be facing any direction allowing them to be displayed a number a different ways.

The second coffin set released was at the 2009 Comic Con and was limited to 200 numbered pieces. We received quite a low number of 057/200 that is marked on the certificate of authenticity as well as each paper-weight. With this set Lock, Shock, Barrel and the pumpkins can all be put in different positions also allowing them to be displayed a number of different ways.

Nightmare Before Christmas Cookie Jars

Over the years since the 1993 release of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, there have been a number of meticulously detailed film inspired collector cookie jars.

Possibly the most collectible Nightmare Before Christmas cookie jar released to date, the Treasure Craft Jack Skellington Tombstone cookie jar was the first film inspired cookie jar ever created and was made for the theatrical release of the film. This piece has become very sought after by collectors and can only be found on the secondary market.

Also another very collectible and sought after cookie jar, this piece by applause was the second to be released and sold exlusively at Sam Goody, Suncoast, Mediaplay and On-Cue. Each side of the jar features it's own beautifully hand painted movie character and is one of our personal favourites.

This jar features Lock, Shock and Barrel in their mobile bathub, kidnapping "Sandy Claws". It was released by the Disney Store and features superb detailing. It can only be found on the secondary market and I would strongly recommend it to any Nightmare Before Christmas Collector.

These ceramic storage jars by Neca are sold in a set of 3. They are an exact replica of the jars seen in the movie used by Sally when poisoning Dr.Finklestien. These jars are a more current release and can still be found with some online retailers.
